My Story
Healing isn't a destination; it's a daily, intentional walk.
The Foundation
Every resource I create carries a piece of my story—a story of pain, perseverance, and the unwavering faithfulness of God. My journey began with profound challenges. I learned early how to survive, how to carry scars silently, and how to keep moving even when my heart was breaking.
Within a seven-year span, I lost my entire immediate family. The grief was suffocating, and I was left standing alone, trying to make sense of a world that had taken everyone I loved. But faith wasn't just a Sunday routine for me—it was the foundation I stood on when everything else crumbled. In the midst of that darkness, God gave me a reason to keep going: my daughter.
The Meaning of Trutai
When my daughter was four years old, we were in the grocery store, and she asked for candy. I had to tell her, "Mommy doesn't have any money for candy right now." She looked up at me with those big, trusting eyes and said, "You being tru Tai." She left out the "to," but what she meant was, Are you being truthful to me? I didn't say, "Mommy's not lying to you." Instead, I answered, "Mommy being true to Tai."
That precious, honest exchange became the heartbeat of everything I do. It birthed the Trutai brand—a commitment to authenticity, resilience, and showing up as your true self no matter what life throws at you.
The Mission
Years later, life tested me again with a grueling breast cancer diagnosis. My body was weak, my spirit was weary, and my daughter became my strength when I had none. She reminded me daily why I had to keep fighting. Through the weight of loss, trauma, and illness, I cried out to the Lord—and He answered. He saved me, over and over again. These experiences aren't just stories; they are living proof that God is real.
Every devotional I write, every resource I design, and every piece of apparel I create is rooted in that truth. These aren't just items on a page. They are fragments of my journey, lessons learned through fire, and hope born from suffering.
If you're reading this, know that I see you. I understand the weight you carry, and I know what it's like to wonder if you'll ever feel whole again. But I am here to tell you: healing is possible. Hope is real. And God is faithful. You are not alone in this journey. Let's walk it together—one truth, one testimony, one step at a time.
With love, strength, and unwavering faith,
KJ Rose
